Black Myth: Wukong is full to the brim with interesting characters, all steeped in layers of Chinese mythology, as well as parallels to the 16th-century novel Journey to the West. With such a wide array of characters, it's natural that you might wonder which lines up with typical Zodiac sign personality traits.

In a game with such a massive cast of characters, of course, not every named character is going to be included, but we've featured the major characters that align closest to the different Zodiac signs. So, which characters line up with which signs best?

12 Aries - Sun Wukong

Throughout the story of Black Myth: Wukong, we hear a lot about the legendary hero Sun Wukong, to the point that if you weren't paying that much attention, you might assume that you were playing as him.

While the way Sun Wukong is presented throughout the narrative usually has him in tense or difficult situations, we can still see his more positive and eager personality shine through, aligning him closely to an Aries, especially when considering his massive impact on the world of the game.

11 Taurus - Yin Tiger

(April 20 - May 20)

While Yin Tiger is one of the more obscure characters from throughout Black Myth: Wukong, he features some of the best characterization from his short screen time, making it easy to associate him with a Taurus archetype.

During your encounters with the blacksmith in the Ruyi Scroll area, he'll remain more stoic but get a lot more lively and talkative when engaging the Destined One in combat. His hesitance to admit the strength of the Destined One compared to his own and Wukong's makes him easy to associate with the more stubborn aspects of a Taurus.

10 Gemini - Headless Monk

(May 21 - June 20)

The atmosphere in the deserts of Chapter 2 could easily be quite draining during your journey as The Destined One, but that's why it's so great that you have the Headless Monk to add some levity to the chapter's darker moments.

In typical Gemini fashion, the Headless Monk can light up any room (or, in this case, battlefield) that they enter, and while they are borderline immature and perhaps inappropriate with their mood at times, they also have a lot more going on under the surface than they are given credit for.

9 Cancer - Chen Loong

(June 21 - July 22)

It's such a shame, that unless you know where to look, it's actually quite easy to miss Chen Loong in Black Myth: Wukong, but if you have your eyes on the ocean by the Bitter Lake, then you'll run into (as well as aggro) this overwhelmed dragon.

Luckily enough, the boss shouldn't be too tricky, and once you've helped them out with their prescription, they'll be chilling in the Ruyi Scroll realm, helping you out with your gardening. A little over-emotional, but happy to have a chat about their passions, Chen Loong is a textbook Cancer.

8 Leo - Zhu Bajie

(July 23 - August 22)

Often taking the role of The Destined One's voice, we have his short in stature but big on spirit occasional companion Zhu Bajie. Zhu Bajie will often be found at The Destined One's side, quipping and commenting on the events around them, sometimes even talking over other characters.

Of course, not every Leo is as attention-grabbing as Zhu Bajie can be throughout the game's narrative, but it's also hard to deny the similarities.

7 Virgo - Xu Dog

(August 23 - September 22)

It's not a great time for Xu Dog when you first run into them, with his medicinal formula having been eaten by a shock-infused toad, but luckily for him, The Destined One is ready to put things back in order and retrieve his documents.

From then on, Xu Dog, our typical Virgo, will be on call to help empower our hero with his medicinal expertise, always having upgrades on hand, and happy to help out if given the correct resources, all in order of course.

6 Libra - The Destined One

(September 23 - October 22)

While our protagonist, The Destined One, is a silent hero, that's not to say that we don't get any personality from our favourite monkey warrior. Of course, he can't help but find himself in trouble around every corner (considering the game's colossal boss count, it makes sense, though), but he's always willing to help put things right.

While he never puts it into words, the strong sense of justice The Destined One has emanates from his actions, making his placement as Libra a clear choice.

5 Scorpio - Erlang The Sacred Divinity

(October 23 - November 21)

Our supposed antagonist, and one of the first faces we encounter in Black Myth: Wukong is Erlang the Sacred Divinity, but as we'll be calling him, Erlang the Scorpio.

While we don't get to see much of Erlang except at the beginning and the end of Black Myth: Wukong, his impact is lasting, and that's thanks to his intensity. He's also displayed to act with passion, and his perceptiveness is what makes him such a threat to our hero, as well as what makes him such a Scorpio.

4 Sagittarius - Keeper Of The Black Wind Mountain

(November 22 - December 21)

Ever the drifting essence in Black Myth: Wukong, but always there to have our backs (at least throughout Chapter One), the Keeper of the Black Wind Mountain is a comforting yet transient character.

Literally popping in and out of the early moments of this game 's massive story, Keeper of the Black Myth Wukong updates Wind Mountain is always happy to lend our hero a helping hand with his signature Sagittarius enthusiasm.

3 Capricorn - The Third Prince

(December 22 - January 19)

Another more obscure character, The Third Prince, or as you might know him if you never returned to his cell, a random prisoner in the Pagoda Realm, is shown to be an incredibly dutiful and determined character who hopes to free the souls of the four captains you'll find throughout Chapter 3.

Without revealing too much, we learn that The Third Prince is incredibly goal-oriented and uses this to push himself far past his limits, making it easy to assign him as a Capricorn.
