The i3+ isn't able to feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or any other top-rated robots we have test. It may be stuck on power cords or socks and have difficulty navigating between surfaces, such as hardwood and rug.

In our tests the i7+ performed faster and more maneuverable than our runner-up which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surface kinds including carpeting. Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt technology to stay clear of obstacles and guide you through your home. However, it isn't equipped with the ability to map that is found in more advanced models, including our top picks, i3+EVO and J7+ Series.
