World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to an item are a way to increase the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade, it may raise an item's Mark level or Rarity, as well as boost other stats.

Each item has a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a specific amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's basic stats increases when it is upgraded. This is the sum of all its leveled up perks (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrading items can be expensive, depending on the upgrader and the kind of upgrade you decide to make. This is due to how many perks need to be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.

Item level is a widely used measure of power, and is visible on all item tooltips. It also serves to limit how much PvP gear players can use, since PvP is limited at a lower level. Players can see their average level of items on their character sheet.

Using the item level will allow players to compare the potency of gear when deciding to purchase or sell. It's a useful indicator of an item's quality and the amount of damage it is able to deal. The level of the item can be used to evaluate items when evaluating the inventory of a seller.

The level of the item can be seen by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the full description of the item, including its value. It is also accessible by hovering over an item using the mouse cursor, and then typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are various theories on how the calculation of the item's level is made. One theory is that the item level is a number that comes from a formula that calculates the value of an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration the fact that different perks have different worth and sockets have gems that increase the item's overall value. This can result in a calculated value for the item's level, which is usually close to Blizzard's real item level.

This isn't the only factor that affects the ilvl of an item. The location of where the item was dropped may change its stats. For example it can add a level to the item upgrader mod's haste, or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more value than items dropped in lower-level instances.

Item Stats

Item stats can determine the fate of an item for players. The game makes use of them in a variety of ways to encourage players not to limit themselves to a single weapon, and to encourage players to explore other weapons. The stat mods of an weapon increase the base stats. These stat mods are then boosted by a player's skill.

The upgrades to an item can increase the stats of an item. The rarity of an item determines its upgrade cost. For example, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas items with rare levels will be upgraded multiple times with higher prices.

Affixes can also be used to alter the stats of an item. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item upgrader kit by the player and they come in all sizes and shapes. The affixes could provide the item additional damage, add a special capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or decreasing the duration of cooldowns) or make the item unique by putting an additional name to the item.

Currently, all affixes can be rerolled by selecting them from the Upgrade Item window and pressing the green button with circles arrows. It will cost a set amount of gold and other items. These can be used as upgrade gauges, just like the other rerolling methods.

In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can also choose which of the available stats to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges for an item are determined by the level of the item, but every item is guaranteed to have at least 1 stat within the range, unless it is an item that is unique or the result of a God roll from a boss of a raid.

This is another thing that could be changed by introducing an option to upgrade the equipment without rolling the affixes, or selecting which stats to increase. But, like base equipment, this would need to be done on a per-item basis and the Best item upgrade compare interface would not display all the possible stats either lost or gained at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player increases the likelihood of locating items and the properties that are generated by loot, and the strength of these properties. It does not, however, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It simply gives players the chance to acquire better gear in earlier waves and is therefore more useful in early game runs as opposed to later ones, because most players value more powerful weapon scaling and defenses over the raw damage gain.

Luck can also boost the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chance, which increases with each level of the item and can be further increased by using an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, armor, and shields can be created or spawned with the Luck property, with a default value of 40. These items can be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to grant a further +40 Luck, or to increase the existing Luck of an item, up to 140.

Certain items, like the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be crafted to increase the damage of any ability that is able to deal damage by 5percent. These items can be purchased in the shops or made using the right ingredients.

Best item upgrade Failure

Upgrades to items are expensive and not every upgrade will be successful. However, there are cash shop items which allow players to increase their chance of success or stop themselves from losing an item if the upgrade is unsuccessful.

The rate of success of an upgrade can be seen in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of completing the upgrade successfully, and can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limits to the extent to which the success rates can be improved and the probability of a failed upgrade cannot be greater than 100%..

The success of an item upgrade is also affected by the luck of that item. Every item has an overall success rate of 25%, and each item with Luck increases the chance of success by 5percent.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the items in the inventory, so enchantment glint and other effects can be obstructed by them. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
