Staff at Scotland's State Hospital will be given access to massage chairs, craft sessions and mocktail making classes as part of a taxpayer-funded wellness programme.
Medics and support workers based out of the maximum security facility will receive the treatments as part of a staff mental health package.
That is despite none of the patients - which include those with autism and learning disabilites, despite never receiving a criminal conviction - not being offered the same luxuries.
Details of the massage chair purchase were outlined in a freedom of information response from the hospital.
It states that £2,158.93 has been spent on the luxury recliners as well as £4,709.71 for exercise equipment.
Additionally, staff wellness timetables provided to The Mail on Sunday show NHS bosses have scheduled in crafting sessions, mocktail making classes and yoga lessons for staff.

Among the other wellness sessions staff can access are yoga lessons and craft clubs
Tracey Gibbon, whose son Kyle has been detained in The State Hospital for more than 15 years reacted with fury at the findings.
She said: ‘My son has been physically restrained, had a knee pushed into back and almost sat on by those staff - but he doesn't have access to a massage chair.
‘Those staff can go home and chill out when they've finished their shift. My son can never leave.'
A State Hospital spokeswoman said: ‘Staff wellbeing is a key part of NHS workforce strategy and a priority at the State Hospital.
'In May 2020, as with all NHS Boards, we received a grant from NHS Charities Together to be spent directly on supporting staff wellbeing initiatives. This funded items like massage chairs and sports equipment for our dedicated Staff Wellbeing Centre.'
